Always check with a club member before making arrangements to go to events.
Club nights will continue through the winter. At the time of writing, we are waiting for the electricity to be reconnected. We regard beginners as those who are of BCU 2* standard or above. There will be no formal instruction for beginners, however, some coaches may be available and willing to offer ad hoc sessions. Beginners should check that there is adequate supervision before getting on the water.
The new Junior Slalom Coaching session will continue on Thursdays between 5.30 & 6.30. This session is aimed at those paddlers who compete. There is plenty of opportunity to do this, if you don’t know how or when just ask Tony or any other slalom paddler.

** Listed above are all the local slaloms which are suitable for beginners. Contact Tony if you intend to go and he will try to ensure that there is a coach at the event.
Llandysul is listed as this has become a club event. It is a full weekend away. Contact Tony or Wendy if you are interested in going.
West Tanfield Slalom is a club event that you should not miss. See separate flier for details.

Thursday Evenings
Club night will continue on Thursdays throughout the winter.
River Trips
The venues will be chosen according to the prevailing conditions.
Consequently, arrangements may be made at short notice. Where practical,
details will be available, at the club, on the Thursday prior to
the trip. It is therefore worth asking if anything is going on
at the weekend? E mailing or ringing Chris or Tony on Friday nights.
In the interests of safety, we reserve the right to restrict participation.
